St.John de Zilva Biography
 
St.John de Zilva has been feeling it for the last 18 years starting off at the original Bass Clef in London. His music is soulful, funky and deep. Taking in house philly, northern, disco, funk, afro latin rhythms and beyond. He is also the co-ordinator of www.djworkshop.co.uk and has played his smooth and passionate DJ sets in the UK, Europe and Australia. Production wise he has produced the jazz funk outfit Retoactif and with jazz trumpeter Kevin Davy (Lamb) the Four Thousand Souls EP as well as numerous remix projects.

Londons original underground dance music station.
De Zilva had his own show after winning a DJ competition for the station. The station helped break such DJs as Kenny Hawkes and Luke Solomon and also had shows for Pete Heller, Crispin J Glover and Jon Marsh.
 
The early days 1989/95
De Zilva played at smaller clubs and warehouses such as the Bass Clef, Clinic, Vox and in the early nineties played more Detroit based music alongside names such as Dave Clarke, Colin Dale, Baby Ford, Paul Hartnoll.
