Foundation DJ Course
Designed to consolidate learning from the taster the 8 week course covers the following areas wth a relevant creative outcome such as a recording or a peer performance and young people’s club night.
We can also design attendance and achievement certificates for students and incorporate a presentation into the performance as well.
Based on the first 8 weeks of the BTEC National and Diploma Scheme of Work it covers:
Equipment spec, set up, faultfinding, how to cue up, basic mixes (fade/drop), beat mixing exercises, rhythm exercises, pitch control, arranging mixes, using filters, eq, mixing in key, programming a set, baby scratches (how to set up for scratching), performance , monitoring.
Again as with the tasters there is an emphasis on the students learning so there is ample time to learn through doing and trying out the techniques yourself.
Group Size: 8-10
Course length: 16 hours ( 8 x 2 hours)
Fee: includes tutor, equipment hire, vinyl, CDs, mp3s, headphones and active monitoring system, travel, admin and expenses.
